our vision

Banyan Roots will promote and preserve traditional food and farming practices, as well as indigenous seed diversity. In doing so, we will work on creating a community-based, localized and replicable model for locally grown and processed food in the Southern Aravalli hill region. We will focus on increasing bio-diversity, improving the income of local farmers and implementing toxic, chemical-free agricultural processes. We will also focus on encouraging conscious decision-making among Indian consumers with regard to their food production and consumption choices.
